This pickup system allows you to add a pickup to your instrument without having to change the bridge or modify anything . The BM-1 was designed with a lengthened sensor element to enable it work properly on the non-adjustable bridges of Bouzouki's, Mandola's, and Mandolins.
The BM-1 sensor is small and light in weight. 1/4" high by 2 1/4" in length and will not affect the acoustic sound of the instrument. It will work on virtually all of these instrument's bridges and only requires a small flat area on the bridge face for the sensor to adhere to.
Installation is simple as the pickup adheres to the bridge with the supplied 3M VHB tape. The jack assembly simply adheres to a thin stand-off mounted to the underside of the tailpiece.
